Park Homes energy rebate

Local Liberal Democrats have launched a campaign demanding that the Government changes the arrangements for paying the £400 energy rebate announced by the Chancellor in May
Whilst the Government announced that the rebate would be paid to "all households", the current arrangements mean that many Park Home residents will be not receive it.
The issue is that the rebate will be provided via personal electricity bills, but on most Park Home sites the site owner manages a collective arrangement with the electricity supplier. In these cases niether the resident nor the site owner will receive a rebate.
The Government has acknowledged this "anomaly" but has not made any arrangement to fix it.
This is unfair on a community many of whom have fixed or low incomes and are facing the same cost of living issues as other households. It is especially unfair when people with two or more homes in the UK will receive multiple rebates,
If you agrree that this is unfair, please help our campaign as follows:
- Sign our online petition; this will be presented to Mole Valley Council on 12th July to request their support
- Sign the national petition
- Contact our MP or write to him at Sir Paul Beresford, MP for Mole Valley, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA. Urge him to put pressure on ministers and to explain how this can be regarded as fair and how the anomaly aligns with the "levelling-up" agenda we keep hearing about;
