Steve Gee has been unanimously selected by the Epsom & Ewell Liberal Democrats as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for the 2015 General Election, at a hustings meeting at Bourne Hall.

Steve Gee is the managing partner of a large multi-national construction consultancy. He has lived in the Epsom & Ewell constituency for twenty four years and is a former Chair of the Epsom & Ewell Party. Steve stood as Liberal Democrat PPC in the 2005 General Election in Wimbledon where he increased the Liberal Democrats' share of the vote of by 40%.

The hustings meeting was overseen by John Lovell from the Party's South East region. In addition to those who attended the meeting, other members voted using a postal vote.

Steve gave an introductory speech, outlining something of his background and why he wanted to stand as PPC for Epsom & Ewell in 2015. He then answered a wide range of questions from those present covering both national and local issues. Steve said "It is an honour to be selected as your candidate for the 2015 General Election. Next year's election will be tough for us. We have new challenges as a party of government and I will be a strong advocate for our policies and our record of achievements. We need to build on the success of Jonathan Lees over the last two General Elections. I will also be supporting those standing for Epsom & Ewell Borough Council next May - the local elections will coincide with the General Election."
