Wicker coffins are old news, but Ecopods, just what are those?

Environmentally conscious folk might consider using sustainable materials for a coffin, but Ecopods are a revolutionary new design in coffins, made by hand from recycled newspapers and hand finished with paper made from 100% mulberry pulp. The Ecopod is available in a range of colours with screen printed motifs, plain white, or gold.

The Ecopod is suitable for cremation, or burial in woodland sites or traditional cemeteries and biodegrades naturally over time when placed in the ground.

Information on Ecopods is readily available via the internet.

There is also plenty of information available on coffins made from more traditional or recycled materials, including bamboo, willow, seagrass, cane and cardboard plus a company which gives people the opportunity to design a coffin themselves!
