The parking problems of Epsom (photography: Julie Morris)

On the border of Town and College wards - the refuse lorry struggles to get through and there's parking everywhere ...

Lib Dem councillors and FOCUS teams throughout the borough are taking action to get a better deal on parking, parking enforcement, traffic and road safety.

Both the borough and county council are involved in these issues and residents are being encouraged in the Spring issue of FOCUS to take action themselves by:

(a) reporting illegally parked vehicles

(b) reporting potholes and blocked gullies

(c) demanding more parking wardens

(d) coming along to Local Committee meetings and asking questions

(e) complaining about the state of our roads

(f) pressing for action to remove HGV waste vehicles from residential roads

The next meeting of the Local Committee (the county/borough authority which deals with roads and parking) is on Monday 10th March at the Ebbisham Centre. Public question time begins at 7pm.

Contact your Lib Dem councillor for more details of how to take action or look at the back page of the latest issue of FOCUS which will shortly be posted on this website.
