Nigel Pavey is a retired catering manager from the transport industry. He has lived in Epsom and Ewell for over 50 years. His 2 children and his 2 grandsons were all educated at schools within the Borough.
Nigel was first elected a Borough Councillor, along with his late wife Anne, in 1991.

He is currently Chair of the Liberal Democrat group, which is the main opposition group on Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
Nigel was a governor of Danetree Junior School for more than 25 years, where he was also actively involved with the school's successful "Walking Bus" scheme.
He is treasurer of Sunnymede Residents Association and vice-chair of Epsom & Ewell Age Concern and a Trustee of Carers of Epsom.
Nigel is Chair of the Friends of The Wells and a committee member of the Friends of Court Rec and the Manor Park Association.
He has a particular interest in facilities for both youngsters and older people - indeed anyone with a special need - and in protecting our Green Belt and open spaces.
Nigel's hobbies include walking and the theatre.
